don't look at me like others do PLEASE HELP

Is this natural? Is there anything off about what is said? Does this mean that you family looks at you better? Does this paragraph convey a clear point?

My family doesn't look at me like others do. I don't mind squinting in front of them. They don't comment on my lazy eye. I feel comfortable looking them in the eyes regardless of my squint.

How would you say this naturally
My family looks at me better than others do.

Thank you

Ps Does one say 'This conveys a clear point'?
