I thought you didn't work Mondays. OR

I thought you don't work Mondays.

If the person I'm speaking to is actually working on a Monday. Are both ok?

PreciousJones Are both ok? Both are OK, but the first is the more idiomatic one that almost all native speakers would generate. You can't go wrong using the past tense after an introductory clause with thought or knew .
