Done with something

hi everyone! i was talking with a friend about some books i’m currently reading but i’m having trouble to immerse myself into them, therefore, I want to finish them asap. I naturally said :

I‘ll try to finish them soon so (that?) I’m done with it...

But then, reading the sentence i wasn’t so sure about it anymore.

Is it correct english? or should i’ve said :

I’ll try to finish them soon to be done with it.

Thank you Emotion: smile

) I’m done with it... You need this: I'm going to try to finish them soon so (that) I'm done with them. 'that' is optional.

  • ) I’m done with it...
  • You need this: I'm going to try to finish them soon so (that) I'm done with them.
  • 'that' is optional.
  • anonymous I’ll try to finish them soon to be done with it.
  • Also OK, but in my opinion not as good as the one I gave you above.
