Done vs finished

There has been a lot of confusion in regards the the use of the word "done."
When filling out an online registration form ... you need to select DONE when you are completed, before going to the next page. A waitress will ask if you are done before taking your plate away. What is the correct usage of the word done?

Thank you, Jill
