done fell through?

Hi, guys~

In the lyrics of a song named 'Am I bleu'
there are the following lines.

Am I blue?
You'd bee too
if each plan with your girl
done fell through.

Then 'done fell through'?
What it means?
And is it grammatically correct?

Thank you.

And is it grammatically correct? It just means that the plans were not successful - they failed. "done" + past is a verb pattern of AAVE (African American Vernacular English).

  • pdf In many respects, it functions in AAVE like a perfect, referring to an action completed in the recent past, but it can also be used to highlight the change of state or to intensify an activity, as in a sentence like I done told you not to mess up .
