Doesn't or won't

Hi

There exists a quote which goes:

  • "If it doesn't challenge you it doesn't change you"

For me this sounds strange. Wouldn't it be better to write it like

  • "If it doesn't challenge you it won't change you"

Does the meaning change with won't?

Thank you very much and best regards, Stefan

Both of those are OK, but I think I prefer "won't". The full stop is missing. I would also add a comma.
