Doesn't happen to be

"I don't happen to be a rich man" means "I am not a rich man by chance", is that correct? And it has 2 different meanings as in the scenarios below, is that correct as well?

1) I don't happen to be a rich man. I am a rich man because I worked a lot & made good investments.

2) I don't happen to be a rich man. I am not a rich man because my father & I didn't inherit anything from grandfather who was very rich as he was very angry at my father.
