I'm just trying to make a sentences using some word pairs like ifs or buts....that's why I'm asking.

I found ifs,ands, or buts in American English dictionaries, and in Cabridge online dictionary it's only ifs or buts but maybe is not very common without ands? In my student's book it's only ifs or buts - it is New Headway of Oxford

Oh. OK. I thought the British version was the same as the American version.
