Does this sound grammatical to native E-speakers?

Dear Teachers,

Could you please comment on the following?

(1) "Alex worked with a very high priority on this issue".

(2) "Many thanks to Alex, who coordinated to activities between
many people on different levels".

I wonder if these sentences are both perfect English? ( The highlighted is what looks "suspect" to me... )

Alex worked on this as a high-priority issue.

Alex gave this issue a high priority in his work.
