Is the following correct?

It should be noted that the task of navigating a vehicle requires varying levels of attention; very high or very low mental workload can result in incomplete understanding, inadequate attention and information processing.

To me, it is not tremendously clear how the part after the semicolon relates to the part before. As you've written it, the last part says these three things can result: 1. incomplete understanding 2.
