Does this sentence sound unnatural?

Is there anything stilted about the 3 sentences?
Especially sentence 1. "He's nice to see a few times a year". Does it sound unnatural?

He's nice to see a few times a year. I would advice you to hang out with him on a regular basis. He could be a bad influence.

Thanks

Yes.

I would advise you to hang out with him on a regular basis. OK
He could be a bad influence (on you). OK

The advice is contradictory, though.

Hello Alphecca,

Is sentence 1 natural or unnatural? If it is stilted, how would you write it please?

Thank you so much

ps sentence 2 should have read I wouldn't advise you to hang out with him on a regular basis.

This is more natural:

It's nice to see him a few times a year.

The experience of seeing him is nice.

The way you wrote it, it seems like he's tolerable enough to be seen only a few times a year.
