Does this sentence sound fine?

Hi,

Does the following sentence sound fine?

"There was no significant difference between the group exposed to 5,000 lux and the group exposed to 300 lux light intensity; however there was a significant difference between the former and the group exposed to an 8,000 light intensity."

Thanks!

It's OK in a context where the reader know what kind of differences are being described. For example, the color of the skin, damage to the skin, relief of depression, etc.
