Does this sentence sound fine?

Hi,

Does the below sentence sound fine?

"The obtained P-value, which was 0.07, shows that the P-value was close to 0.05 and this cannot be easily passed over."

By "pass over" I mean "ignore".

Thanks!

The fact that the P-value obtained (0.07) was close to 0.05 cannot be ignored.

(I would probably write it as shown above, and I wouldn't use 'passed over'.)
