Does this sentence make sense?

Foster’s Group thought it could combine the sale of beer and wine to grow their company.

I am not a fan of this new verb 'grow', but unfortunately it is now quite a buzzword. Otherwise, your sentence is OK. I have offered a small suggestion or two: Foster’s Group thought (that) it could combine their sales of beer and wine to grow/ expand their company.
