Does this sentence make sense?


Who do they think they are, telling us who is "top tier" material?
I posted this earlier on an online forum and immediately regretted it because it looks and sounds awkward to me. Should that comma be there? Is that question mark placed correctly? is there a better way of saying this?

I'm disgusted with the media's unwillingness to report simple facts. Who do they think they are, telling us who is "top tier" material? The polls speak for themselves.
