Does this sentence make sense?

"Choose wisely for the journey is only as meaningful as crossing over the finish line."

Is the grammar and the wording okay? How could I make it sound better? I am trying to say that the journey is nothing if you don't reach your goal.

  • If you speak of a finishing line, perhaps you should say 'a race' rather than 'a journey'.
