Does this sentence make sense

So I have to write a question using the word repulse as a noun so does this sentence make sense? the sentence is: what would you do to stop the repulse of a wild animal?

You've got it backwards. I think you might want to stop the attack of a wild animal, but not the repulse -- unless you felt especially bad that the wild animal had rejected you! The two are
