Does this sentence make sense?

i need to know if the word bedevil in this sentence makes sence, Thankyou!

The little boys bedeviled the produce-seller’s stand of apples when their ball was hit out of the park.

Mr. Wordy, I think the sentence doesn't make any literary sense. Bt grammatically, it should be correct.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to ask. I suppose you could argue that all the words in the sentence function in an individually grammatical way, but this is fairly irrelevant since the whole doesn't make any sense.
