Does this sentence imply or not?

So does this sentence imply that all castles were romanticised were not true castles or that castles that were romanticised are not true castles?

“Castles were also romanticised in Europe, they were not a true typical castle”

It may be trying to say that castles in Europe were not true castles, but it is not a good sentence (it contains a rather nasty comma splice, for one thing). James O'Neill So does this sentence May I recommend that you do not begin sentences with an unnecessary "So".

Does it imply that all castles were not true typical castles or that romanticised castles are not true castles?

Would it be wrong to imply that it would be "all castles" because there is no distinction?

I'll keep that in mind thank you

To me it seems to be saying that castles in Europe were romanticised, and for that reason European castles were not true castles (during some era, I suppose). However, as I mentioned, the two parts of the sentence are not properly connected.

I understand what you're saying and what you said about it not being properly connected. However, it did not claim that all European castles were not true castles, just castles that were romanticised?

It is ambiguous on that point.
