Does this need to be capitalized?

I know you capitalize Captain when you use it like : The Captain looked over his troops.

But do you need to capitalize Captain in this setence: Her sister's Captain was a handsome man.

Thank you!

Her sister's Captain was a handsome man.

Not unless her sister always calls and refers to him as "Captain."

(I'm not so sure I'd capitalize it in "The captain looked over his troops.")

I would, however in, "Captain Ahab was pacing the deck."
