Does this make sense?

2.12 We investigated the distribution of trees throughout the park in order to determine the best location for a transect line connecting these two boundaries together. This involved exploring on foot and recording on a map the types of trees in the park from south to north, beginning at the Weston Park memorial (A) near to the southern transect boundary at Weston Bank Road, and ending at a perimeter park wall (B) near to the northern transect boundary at Winter Street. This portion of our walk is A – B as shown on the map below.

It is generally okay. However, I would make two changes.

First, unless you have explained this earlier, "these two boundaries" does not make sense by itself. Do you mean the southern and northern boundaries? (As opposed to the east and west boundaries?). If so, say so.

Second, I think the term "transect" is unclear. Normally, the word is used as a noun or as a verb--not as
