Does this make sense

Hi, please help me with the grammar of the following sentences

A group assignment required us to work in Excel to solve the standard deviation of a portfolio made up of two types of assets, risky asset and risk free asset. We needed to work out a range of standard deviations by varying the percentages of risky assets through different levels.

I am wondering if it is correct for me to use "through different levels" here. The idea is that we need to work out a range of standard deviations given different weightings of risk and risky free assets in the portfolio, for example, what will be standard deviation be if risky assets have a weight of 50% and 70% respectively.

thank you

Perhaps the word you're looking for is "ratio" in this context?
" by varying the ratio of risk free versus risky assets."
