Does this make sense?

I am writing a movie script about a malign narcissistic queen, Stealia, who dreams about having a daughter who is blessed with vanity and beauty. This is a poignant scene in the movie.

Stealia is sitting inside a boat on a lake teaching her daughter philosophy on beauty, form and aesthetics under what appears like an ornate Victorian sun parasol. After reading a particular passage from a book, she looks up to find that her daughter is no longer listening attentively, for she has fallen into the lake and is drowning. Stealia kneels down and looks over the side of the boat at the frothing and bubbling water beyond which her daughter’s anguished face and writing body slowly descends into the black abyss of the lake. When her daughter’s face fades away and the water calms, Stealia’s own reflection becomes visible in the calming water, replacing her daughter’s anguished one; to which Stealia‘s terror quickly evaporates into wonderment at the sight of her divine beauty staring back at her.
