Does this distort the meaning

I was corrected as follows. However, I think corrected sentence distort the meaning of what I wanted to describe. Please let me know what you think.

Mine : I have not even used the UBER, but there is a new service called "Hitch".
Corrected sentence : I have never used the UBER, but there is a new service called "Hitch".

Hello Desafinado. Certainly the correction has changed the meaning, but I see it as an improvement nevertheless. It's odd to say that you've not even used UBER (I don't think the article is generally employed), because this raises questions about what you have done to it.

  • I wonder if the person who corrected you misread even as ever , which would make much more sense.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your explanation.

How about the following correction by myself? I think that this will describe what I wanted to write.

I have not used even UBER, but there is a new service called "Hitch".
