When gold turns into stone!

It is said that one of the rich merchants left all what he had to his sons when he grew older. The sons promised to take full care of him, and they kept their promise for a while. Then, they started to neglect their father little by little, till their hearts were hardened and became as rocks, and they began to dress and feed him unwillingly.

When the father received such kind of treatment from his sons, he regretted what he had offered them. The father continued, however, to suffer so dearly until, one day, some of his friends paid their huge debt back; a debt that he had nearly lost hope of having it back. Then, the father brought a solid box and put the debt inside it.

No sooner had the sons discovered about the debt, when they started once again to respect their father and understand his feelings in order to give up the rest of his fortune. But, the father had learned the lesson, and gave them nothing at all.

After his death, the sons opened the box hastily, but there was no money, instead, they found stones inside, and a note saying:

" Allah (God) does turn gold into stone for disobedient sons ". In fact, the father decided to donate the money to an orphanage, as his sons had treated him so badly, and he filled the box with stones!
