Does the underlined line in the context make sense?

A: Which text book should I buy?

B: If you are a beginner, you would be comfortable reading the Vol.1 book

A: Alright, I will buy that and let me put the other book back

B: I can put it back

A: No problem, I will put it back for you!

Does for you make sense here?

I felt bad as I thought I said something inappropriate.

Thanks again CJ!

Store employees are usually told to put books back themselves and to avoid a situation where a customer puts a book back. The same applies in a library. The reason is that customers or library patrons sometimes forget the exact location where the book belongs and put it back in the wrong place. After reading the reply, I also believe she would have seen it that way (her responsibility). I'm super-impressed by this reply! Your analysis of the conversation and situation associated with it is excellent! I actually said that in a polite manner and she reponded by saying "OK" with a smile. Thanks again for the response CJ
