Does she go to school today

I think this is wrong, am I correct?;
Does she go to school today?

In the morning, can you say;
Is she going to school today? (Because she was sick last night)

And at night, can you say;

Thank you.

Can you say "Does she go to school today?", in the morning, when you want to know it, because you know she was sick last night? (I thought the "does she verb" form can only be used for a question about a fact or routine action. )

Thank you very much.

It doesn't make sense to me to say that in that situation.

It's just about possible in certain contexts, but I don't recommend it. 'Is she going ...?' will almost always be natural, whereas 'Does she go ...?' will rarely be natural.

Looking at someone who is, on Saturday (I'm talking of the countries in which schools remain closed on Saturday), in his/her school uniform and has his/her school bag on his/her shoulders, can one say "Does he/she go to school today?"? to show his/her surprise or astonishment at that moment?

Yes. Then you're using the simple present as it is used for a scheduled event.
