Does 'recently' indicate time?

May I use Present Perfect combined with the word 'recently' in the same phrase?
For e.g:
I have recently disocvered that my wife is cheating on me.

Thank you.

Hi WA, Yes. In fact, "recently" is a perfect modifier in present perfect structure or unspecified time in my opinion. I have recently met a girl whom I would consider a potential candisate for a long term relationship.

Yes, though it's not time as an absolute value, but, rather, an indication of the speaker's attitude towards how short period of time has passed since the event in question.

And, you may use Present Pefrect with it 'cause it indicates it happend not so long ago to be considered past time.

Edit: Thank you, I thought that awareness is spelled 'awarness', and definitely 'definitly'; Accidentally was indeed a mere typo.
