Does "on Lake Constance" mean "who's staying at Lake Constance (and Einstein now took him away with him)"?

Context:

After Einstein married his second wife in June, he returned to Zurich to talk to Maric about the children's future, taking Hans Albert on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Constance and Eduard to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arosa for convalescence.
