Does not exist

Hi Dears,
What is the meaning of this sentence:

"God does not exist, and Jesus is his son."
It is rational and logical that God does not exist, so Jesus does not exist.
Am I wrong?

Obviously, I'm talking about linguistic case.

How about the structure if that?

Thanks.

It means something similar to

The king is dead. Long live the king!

Or,

Always be sincere, even if you don't mean it.

Or,

If you fall and break your legs, don't come running to me.
