Does my introduction for a switch sound natural?

There is a joystick in the center of the four directional switch. I will introduce the usage of this switch on my product. Here is a paragraph:

Pushing the stick up or down can move the current cursor displayed on the LCD displayer up or down. You can choose current item by pushing the tick to the right direction and return to the previous menu list by pushing the stick to the left direction.
