Does "Jesus entrusted each of the disciples to each other" mean...?

Does "Jesus entrusted each of the disciples to each other" mean "Jesus ordered each of the disciples to care about each other"?Context:One possibility is that Mary went to Ephesus some time after Jesus' death and resurrection. The reason for this theory is that John, the Beloved Disciple, is supposed to have written his gospel from there and this same John is said to have been at the cross with Mary when Jesus entrusted each of the disciples to each other. Ephesus is relatively unlikely to be the place where Mary went. The idea is purely based on the tradition of her association with John and John's gospel.

Just a point of fact here. This references three women, doesn't it? Not four? That is, 'his mother's sister' is identical to 'Mary the wife of Clopas', and these are not different women, right?

I'm no expert either, and when the subject comes up, I simply look here for a reference: http://www.biblegateway.com/

The mainstream interpretation of John's verses seems to favor four women, not three. There is a discussion here:

Thanks.
But the context said "each of the disciples." So Jesus's mother was counted as one of the disciples?

In favor of the four-women argument - Mary was the name of his mother. Would it make sense that his mother's sister would also be named Mary?
