Does it make sense to you

As it is ranked in 1st place for the undergraduate BSc in Accounting and Finance according to the Complete University Guide 2012 and its Management School was ranked fifth (out of 90) in the UK for research excellence in the most recent UK Research Assessment Exercise, University of XXXXXX excels in both teaching and research.

My question is if the sentence with red highlight make sense to you?

I think there is some punctuation missing. To my way of thinking there should be a comma after Finance and again after Guide 2012. I think it would make sense if it looked as follows: ronctlsmile As it is ranked in 1st place for the undergraduate BSc in Accounting and Finance, according to the Complete University Guide 2012, and its Management School was ranked fifth (out of 90) in the UK for research excellence in the most recent UK Research Assessment Exercise, University of XXXXXX excels in both teaching and research.
