Does "exact" sound fine in this sentence?

Hi,

Does "exact" sound fine in my sentence below?

"Although most of the risk factors associated with voice impairment are known, the exact importance of each factor is still unknown due to cultural and environmental differences."

Thanks!

It's funny how a word like "exact" can make the reader think the opposite. If you don't know the exact importance, that means you have a vague idea of it. Better not to go there at all.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. That sentence seems to contradict itself. I suggest you rephrase it
