Does "depth" mean "(the poeple's) deep wisdom"?

Context:

I was a little worried about reading something that wasn't written by one of my tried and true authors but I am very happy I did! The characters are real people who you want to get to know (or stay far far away from, depending on which one we're talking about). They behave and speak like normal people do and are believable. There is depth to them that makes you understand their motives but Wente doesn't spoon-feed you everything. You can guess where things go but you might be wrong and that's part of the adventure.

Not necessarily wisdom, but it means they have full and realistic personalities/characters.
