Does "a couple" always mean two?
Hello.
Someone told me "I've heard this question a couple of times" but after further discussion she meant more than two times. So can "couple" be used to express more than two? Dictionaries usually say "two" of something.
Please clarify, thank you!

The phrase "A couple" can be used for any small amount of numbers, otherwise its improper.
