Doctors speaking to children

Do American or British doctors use any special language when speaking to little patients? I know only the word tummy, but are there any other words or idioms like that? THNX

I think the basic point is to keep it very simple. Hopefully, the parents will be with you when you examine the child, so they will be able to help with any "special" words they use, particularly for intimate parts of the body. (This can be tricky, because people do tend to use their own vocabulary).
