hi, in US, "MD"(doctor of medicine) is a doctorate degree or just a bachelor degree?

It is a post-graduate degree. After 4 years of university, a medical student goes for at least another 6 years to get his M.D. Equivalent to more than a PhD, it makes a person a physician. PhD is roughly 2 or 3 years after col

To the extent that the MD program requires for entrance a previous bachelor, it is a (post)-graduate degree.

But many good universities require for entry only 2-3 years of pre-med studies at the university level, without the completed bachelor in that previous field.

And PhD is normally 5-7 years (because you need an MSc first, 2 years), depending on your tal

In the United States, it is just about unheard of for a medical school to accept someone without a bachelor's degree. (Some schools might have combined degree programs with an undergraduate school in which you go to school without any breaks and can get your M.D. in a total of six years, but that's not the same as being accepted to med school with only two years of undergraduate studies.)

A bit more quibbling about some of the points mentioned . . .

A master's degree is normally a prerequisite for embarking on a PhD. However, it does not have to be an MSc.

I'd hesitate to say baldly that an MD is equivalent to more than a PhD. It depends very much on the circumstances, and on how you choose to compare and measure these things.
