0Yes, you are right but doctor is a general name and doctors have different branches, so every doctor takes a new name when they choose a branch e.g. surgeon, dentist, physchologist etc. 02br

00Jingtian - all I can say is what happens in my own country. It may be different to yours.No, you wouldn't go to a normal hospital for treatment of tooth decay but you might go to a specialised dental clinic or hospital. 02br

0 Nona, thank you very much for providing such detailed information. The situation here is quite different from the UK. No wonder it is quite hard for us to understand the differences between a doctor and a dentist, as we can go to either a hospital or a dental clinic for dental fillings. 0-
