Doctor

I just got done with my doctor's appointment today. My friend asks me:

What's been the most overwhelming aspect of the consultations. Or

What was the most overwhelming aspect of the consultations.

I would use was, because although the consults happened moments ago, it's still in the past.

I've checked the present perfect usage, and now think that the present perfect should be used, because it happened very recently; in the morning of today.

But are both okay to use?

Please proofread.

Thanks!

I agree that both are possible grammatically, but I cannot imagine any native speaker of BrE asking such a question. We don't normally think of doctor's consultation having overwhelming aspects.
