do yourself a favor

I posted the thread on another forum but got no response.
Is the paragraph natural English?

The next time you reach for your disposable chopsticks to have dinner, you might want to think twice about where it might have been, before putting them into your mouth. So do yourself—and the earth—a favor: decline those disposable chopsticks the next time you enjoy your food. Bring your own hygienic set from home and wash them afterward.

I think I'd remove the comma after "been."

Your use of dashes looks correct to me.
