This is presented to me when viewing my profile. Should the word "practice" not be spelled "practise" when used as a verb?

Matty - you are correct and Nugso is wrong. When used as a verb, the correct spelling is 'practise'. SInce I live in UK, I cannot comment on how this word is speclt in the US.

In BrE, the verb is spelt practise.
