Do you think public laundry is insanitary or infectious?

I always get a feeling that it could be a way to get infected with some serious diseases. Comments anyone?

Depends on where you are. In the States, in a college town where everyone uses the laundromat, they are exceptionally clean. Generally speaking, I'd rather risk the exceptionally low chance of getting something from my laundry than having my clothes smell or looking unkept.

It probably depends on the laundromat you go to. You can get some really clean ones, or some really grotty, dirty ones. But I think I would risk infection for the sake of clean clothes.
