Above site has a question made to prepare for Korean SAT test. The question is asking which of five is proper to fill up the blank. Can you get the answer?

Well, the answer says #3 is.

But I got curious that there's some logical conflicts in the paragraph. So I googled.

The text was an excerpt of the book, "Istanbul" by Orhan Pamuk, the Nobel Laureate.

They made the question from the last second of the first chapter. And in the question, just for question's sake, they jumbled all sentences, making a mess out of it.

My question is this.

Do you think, even with some touching, is this question still available for a question to get to the answer #3?

#3 (except for the incorrect spelling) is the correct choice, since the writer is referring to things he hadn't seen himself.

I am really SORRY about giving you trouble.

I just posted the URLs to keep EnglishForum's requlation; we cannot post more than 4 sentences of any original sentences.

What I saying is the sentences in the question is mixed up.

I thought that is a bit abnormal because the "I feel compelled to add or so I’ve been told" sentence was used ? to be known that the author's birth story was told by his mother and also ? to introduce the explanation of special tense of Turkish.

In that mixing up, the answer sentence is moved to another place just to make a question, but this caused the sentence out of the context. And to me, it wasn't easy to choose the answer. Honestly, I get the answer right not because of the answer is obvious but because of other answers are much more ridiculous.

So I posted my question.
