Do you see ANY connection...

Hello everybody.

Please, consider the following:

Do you see ANY connection between this text and what we read / have read this year?

1) is ANY correct here? I don't think it's uncountable, so it shouldn't - I think it should be: 'Do you see A connection...';

2) what about 'read' and 'have read'? Are they both correct? Would you exclude one of them?
