Do you remember when we were sitting in my car

Person A asks B about one particular time when they were sitting in a car. Is "Do you remember when exactly we were sitting in my car" grammatically correct and natural? Is "were sitting" the right tense? Is there a difference between "when exactly" and "exactly when"?

Thank you. Just wanted to specify. Person A isn't asking does B remember them sitting together. He wants to know when that happened. At what particular date. He doesn't remember, so he's asking B.

Does it still work for this?

RupertPupkinHe wants to know (exactly / approximately / precisely /about) when that happened.
Optionally you can express a degree of precision that he wants.
