What's the difference between

"Do you remember any event?" and "Do you remember any events?"

Well, I'm Italian but as far as I know the first sentence is correct while the second one seems to me slightly natural rather than the former one. " That's what I would do,simply drop the S!

"Do you remember any event of that night, any event at all?"
That's what I would do,simply drop the S!
