These days, people are able to communicate with other wherever and whenever thanks to the popularity of digital devices such as smartphones. While most of our lives have been changed by modern information technology, some conventions or administrative processes still use manual legacy systems. Owing to the delay of digitalization in Japan, Japanese people have suffered some unreasonable loss of time in payment of emergency subsidy. On the other hand, there are some people who are not in favor of changes in administrative systems. Even if some products are useful at the present, some products will be old-fashioned in the future. However, people who have created or used these products will remain convinced that their products are most valuable. Moreover, there are many stakeholders in any industry, with people who have some kind of vested interests, and they usually hope that things stay the same. Nevertheless, I believe that we should continue the changes in order to make our lives more convenient and diverse. If we protect the stakeholders who have vested interests, our society will not improve at all. In order to make our world “fair”, we should encourage change in our society.
