Do you need commas when there is a break in a relative clause

We’re getting in touch to remind you that, because you are xyz, it’s important that your property
is properly insured.

Do you need the comma before and after the 'because clause? If so, why?

Is it because these commas separate the relative pronoun 'that' from the relative clause 'it's important..'

The commas are optional. If you use them, it means that because you are xyz becomes parenthetical and thus seems less important If you omit them, the words seem more important. Clive
