Do you need any punctuation marks?

1. The following partial sentence from the one posted by Aperisic and I want to know when you have this kind of in-between sentenece or phrase, how would you puntuate it? Should I capitalize the first word if it seems to be a full sentence? How about it? Should I place a period in the end?

Aperisic's:

I know it is not correct (before I wrote it I was thinking what to do) but I said ...

2. I want to ask you if you think having multiple sentences form a big complex sentence is a good way to convey what a person want to convey to the readers?

... while you are waiting for him to pull out of a parking space so you can pull in because the parking lot is very full and it's not even a Friday.

First of all, I see all that in the past, because of "said"
I knew this wasn't correct, but I said/wrote ...

In terms of this extra observation, you shouldn't capitalize the first word nor use a period at the endif it isn't a separate sentence:

I knew this wasn't correct (before writing it
